Agronomy Seed House, ca. 1957

Though undated, we think this photo dates from 1957 or so, between the 1956 completion of this building and a 1958 extension on the far end. The Agronomy Seed House was designed by the Lawrence Kabush firm and cost $100,000, plus the $68,000 addition in 1958. It was originally described as being designed as a burglar-proof “bank” for seed stocks. It is located on the south side of Grimes Way, across from Alumni Way.
