Beta Theta Pi: National Fraternity

Expansion of Beta Theta Pi across the Nation

Since the creation of its Alpha Chapter in Ohio, Beta Theta Pi has gone on to found 142 chapters or colonies (groups expected to eventually become recognized chapters at each respective university).

This makes Beta Theta Pi a significantly expansive organization, especially when considering that the average number of members at each chapter rests between 64 and 75 men.

Additionally, the national fraternity has over 136,000 living alumni, and over 212,000 lifetime members.

The five largest chapters in terms of quantity of members are listed as follows:
1. Oklahoma (Gamma Phi): 215 members
2. TCU (Eta Eta): 182 members
3. Oklahoma State (Gamma Lambda): 166 members
4. Mississippi (Beta Beta): 160 members
5. Alabama (Delta Theta): 152 members
