The picture is pretty much unrecognizable as compared to campus in the 2010s (or even in the 1950s). This picture is looking north; Johnson Hall now occupies the location of the Farmhouse (that hill, Poultry Hill, was removed in 1958 to allow Johnson to be built). The Livestock Pavilion would likely be in the lawn on the southwest corner of Campus Way and Wilson Road. The Horse Barn was razed in late Spring of 1946 so that Stadium Way could be run through its location. Photographs of the Horse Barn seen here are often confused with the similar-looking Beef Cattle Barns (which eventually became the Lewis Alumni Centre). They can be easily told apart by the much darker color of the Horse Barn. The two wings extending off the south side of the Horse Barn were added in 1909.plain2019-05-09T16:51:19-07:00Is found in PC 3, WSU Buildings Photographs http://libraries.wsu.edu/masc/finders/pc3.htm, at Washington State University Libraries' Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC), http://libraries.wsu.edu/mascpc003b12f01postcards_1920barnImageBarns; Farms1920North and Central America--United States--Washington (state)--Whitman county--Pullmanark:/80444/xv40374Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections, Washington State University Libraries: http://libraries.wsu.edu/mascIn copyright. It was loosely located near what is now the intersection of Stadium Way and Wilson Road, and should not be confused with the Livestock Judging Pavilion (later remodeled as the Ensminger Pavilion) which was built in 1933.plain2019-05-09T16:51:35-07:00Is found in PC 98, Will Hudson Photographs http://libraries.wsu.edu/masc/finders/pc98.htm, at Washington State University Libraries' Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC), http://libraries.wsu.edu/mascpc098f15ImageAgricultural facilities1904North and Central America--United States--Washington (state)--Whitman county--Pullmanark:/80444/xv55432Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections, Washington State University Libraries: http://libraries.wsu.edu/mascIn copyright.
