There was a fight down at Rockits [on the main street in Tennant Creek] one night. They had disco in there, but it wasn't on the door, on the main entrance there was a band on the side of the door, on the other side and they used to have band in there and Night Patrol workers used to stand around and watch the people walk in there and come out, go drive around look around town camps and then come back through the back there used to be no noise around because people used to be in there. And we leave some of the Night Patrol workers like men's side hang around there and sometimes men used to take off and we would go around there all the woman and one day they had a fight inside.

They came out through the door, dragged each other. As soon as we see that, Night Patrols just come in split them up and at the same time probably we knew there was a person with a knife and we'd ask Night Patrol mob to get the police. So they used to get police and police come around the corner and we're there as Night Patrol and police together splitting these people up and there used to be big brawl in between this people and we used to split them up and take the knife off the other one get the police to knock that man down to get the knife off him. Some things that we were involved with was really bad incidents, real bad ones where we used to get knifes, ax, sticks big nulla nullas in the grass, nulla nulla come out. Even though it was like that we used to get in there and help.
